Evan Miller
Principal
Evan began as the principal at the beginning of 2023. Prior to this had been an Assistant Principal for 10 years. He is passionate about creating the best learning environment and opportunities for all students.
Leigh Hunter
Assistant Principal
Leigh has been the Assistant Principal at Highvale SC since 2016. He has led our student management and wellbeing teams and the introduction of our school wide positive behaviour framework. He is currently leading the teaching and learning program.
Ros Patti
Assistant Principal
Ros joined Highvale in 2015 as the Head of Senior School. She was appointed to the Assistant Principal position in 2022 and is currently leading our student management, wellbeing and school wide positive behaviour teams.
Maddie Helleren
Business Manager
Maddie joined the Highvale team in Term 4 2023 as the Business Manager. She has experience working in both Primary and Secondary Schools as a Business Manager and brings a wealth of experience to the role.
School Council
All government schools in Victoria are required to have a School Council.
A well-informed and effective school council strengthens community confidence in the school and helps to build and secure the school’s reputation.
The objectives of a school council are set out in the school council’s constituting Order and section 2.3.4 of the Education and Training Reform Act and are to:
- assist in the efficient governance of the school.
- ensure that its decisions affecting students of the school are made having regard, as a primary consideration, to the best interest of the students
- enhance the educational opportunities of students at the school
- ensure the school and the council complies with any requirements of the Education and Training Reform Act, the Education and Training Reform Regulations, a Ministerial Order or a direction, guideline or policy issued under the Education and Training Reform Act.
Highvale Secondary College School Council comprises of parent members, school employees, students and community members.
