Positive Relationships

The Highvale school community believes strongly that one of the most important aspects that encourages and supports high quality educational outcomes is the relationship between teachers and students. To foster this partnership the school looks to carefully managing its enrolment to around 900 students.

Students at Highvale feel safe and secure and are able to concentrate on their learning. Our size and unique vertical curriculum structure enables students to know each other and fosters a harmonious environment.

We provide a number of support services for our students. Our Student Welfare / Co ordinator supported by our Guidance Counsellor provides a number of programs to assist with the social skills of students and enables them to get the most out of their schooling. We have high expectations for student behaviour and a clearly defined and enforced code of conduct.

The College maintains very close liaison with primary schools ensuring students successful transition to secondary schooling.

Our community is both rich and diverse. We believe in the benefits of a multicultural society and develop respect, tolerance and appreciation of other cultures. The school has close links with its sister schools in China and regularly hosts exchange students from overseas as well as providing international study tours.
